Revolutionize your approach to antibiotic stewardship with the NAST system.

The NAST (Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing) system is a cutting-edge diagnostic tool designed to empower veterinarians with fast, accurate, and cost-effective in-house antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST). This innovative system utilizes microfluidic technology and an automated detection instrument to provide Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) results and antimicrobial susceptibility categories in as little as 20 hours.

Determine antibiotic levels and resistance status

The NAST system streamlines the AST process into three simple steps:

  1. Pre-culture: Prepare the sample and incubate it in the NAST device for 16 hours.
  2. AST Reaction: Transfer the pre-cultured sample to the AST cartridge and initiate the automated susceptibility testing process.
  3. Report Generation: The NAST software automatically generates a comprehensive AST report with MIC values and susceptibility categories.
Animals suspected of bacterial infection.
Specimen Pre-cultured for 2-16 hours.
Prepare the inoculum and dispense it into the cartridge.
Insert the cartridge into the instrument for 4-16 hours of automated testing.
Automated generation of antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) results for 15 kinds of antibiotics.

15 antibiotics in 20 hr

(16 hr for bacteria culturing; 4 hr for antibiotics test)

Key Features and Benefits

  • Rapid Results:

Obtain AST reports in 6 to 32 hours, enabling timely and informed treatment decisions.

  • Accurate Assessment:

Microfluidic technology ensures precise and reliable susceptibility testing.

  • Comprehensive Panels:

Two antibiotic combination panels (MB04, MB07) are available, covering a wide range of commonly used antibiotics.

  • User-Friendly Interface:

The Windows-based software provides a simple and intuitive workflow for easy operation.

  • Automated Operation:

The instrument automatically performs incubation, detection, and analysis, minimizing hands-on time.
